Film Fatale is back with its third annual Film Noir screening and vintage party.
Men, don your mac and fedora. Ladies, daub that carmine lipstick. It’s time to step out of the shadows for a night of murder, mystery and intrigue as Film Fatale presents The Big Sleep.
On Saturday 23 November, Film Fatale will take you to the 1940s for a night of film, femme fatales, detectives, cocktails, vintage music and the silver screen’s favourite couple Bogey and Bacall.
Come dressed as a hard-boiled detective or strut your stuff as a femme fatale. Whatever you choose, we want you to come vintage.
The Big Sleep, based on Raymond Chandler’s classic noir novel, stars Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall as a hard-boiled LA private eye and a rich heiress who become embroiled in a blackmail case. The trail leads to murderers, spoiled millionaires, nightclub rogues and pornographers.
The film is as salty as a dirty martini. The dialogue as snappy as Bacall’s garter belt. Bogey and Bacall simply sizzle on screen together.
The screening of this classic Howard Hawk film will be followed by a 1940s noir-themed party mirroring the style of the film with live performances and Film Fatale’s resident DJs, The Andrews Sisters’ Brothers who will be playing music from the era with a sexy noir twist.
