Film Fatale presents: The Seven Year Itch & The Fabulous Fifties Cheeky Tiki Party

500x500

 Saturday 27th June

The Sugar Club, Dublin

Join Film Fatale on 27 June for a scorching Golden Era comedy, The Seven Year Itch, which sees the silver screen’s most famous blonde, Marilyn Monroe, in her one of her most sizzling roles. This will be an evening of film, vintage fashion and music, classic cocktails and retro fun at Dublin’s Sugar Club.

Film Fatale’s Fabulous 50s Cheeky Tiki Party will follow the screening, where you can swing-dance to our live band, and jitterbug to Film Fatale’s resident DJs, The Andrews Sisters’ Brothers. Film Fatale’s most fabulous duo will be your trustworthy guide to all things vintage, bringing you on a tour of music evolution with your favourite dance-floor fillers from the 1940s through to the 1970s and the days of Disco.

Drink vintage cocktails in our special summer Tiki Garden, our cheesy 1950s outdoor Tiki bar, complete with kitsch summer songs and tasty summer cocktails. Join in the conga line, the limbo or sit back and be entertained as our Hula dancers take to the stage.

We want you to strut your stuff and embrace the 1950s in your finest vintage clothing, snappiest suits or cheesiest Hawaiian shirt, or go all-out and embrace your inner Marilyn Monroe. Whatever you choose, we want you to come vintage.

One of Hollywood’s greats, director Billy Wilder brings a sparkling Marilyn Monroe to the screen as the flirtatious platinum blonde who shakes up the life of a happily married man.

Tom Ewell stars as a New York City executive whose wife and child are away for the summer. In the heat of the city, living in his empty apartment, he meets a new neighbour: the impossibly gorgeous Monroe. If Manhattan in August isn’t hot enough, Monroe adds another layer of heat to Ewell’s life. He spends the rest of this hilarious farce in various states of temptation.

Famed for the iconic white dress blowing overt an air-vent scene, this exhilarating and glamorous 1950s romantic comedy sees Monroe in one of her finest comic roles — the ditzy blonde bombshell character she helped define.

Sit back in the sumptuous surroundings of the Sugar Club, enjoy a classic signature cocktail designed especially for the night, have the Film Fatale usherettes serve you popcorn while watching Billy Wilders smoldering comedy before dancing the night away to the sounds of the Fabulous Fifties.
